Good Ship’s framework is grounded in established approaches to trauma-informed practice and child abuse prevention. Research and international guidance emphasize environments that promote physical and psychological safety, trusting relationships, supportive adults, clear communication, voice and choice, and opportunities for minors to develop and practise life and social skills. These protective conditions matter: prevention is strongest when we not only reduce risks around children and youth, but strengthen their relationships, communication and social skills, understanding of consent and boundaries, and ability to seek support.
The Child Safety & Wellbeing Framework
Grounded in Evidence.Trauma-Informed.Child-Centred.
Good Ship is building an evidence-informed, trauma-informed framework for child safety and wellbeing in entertainment. It takes an ecological approach — strengthening the people, relationships and systems around the minor.
